MISSION STATEMENT
YAT KITISCHEE is an Inter-Tribal, Cultural,
Environmental, Educational, Social Justice, and
News-Media Organization. Our purpose is to promote
earth-ethics, in order for people to have more
reverence for Mother Earth and respect for the
world's Indigenous Peoples.
YAT KITISCHEE
serves to inform, educate, and enlighten people
about important issues facing the well-being of all
life on our planet.
YAT KITISCHEE focuses on
defending native lands & indigenous peoples
throughout the world. Our goal is to portray native
peoples and their world views in a more accurate and
in-depth depiction of both our ancestral and
contemporary cultures. We serve to educate by
providing a deeper understanding of our diverse
cultures, arts, values, histories, wisdoms, and
contemporary situations.
VISION STATEMENT
YAT KITISCHEE's programs and projects serve to honor
Native Peoples throughout the world by being a voice
for our ancestors, contemporary, and future
generations. Our center educates the public on
important issues facing indigenous communities.
Native Peoples throughout the world are concerned
for the well-being of sacred Mother Earth, Tribal
Sovereignty, Self Determination, Peace and Respect
for our Cultural Life-Ways.
We work in
support of cultural, environmental, social justice,
and sustainable community development by networking
with other organizations and events that share our
concerns.
YAT KITISCHEE serves as a focal
point for native news and information. We maintain a
documentary library for networking with the native
and international press.
Our Media service,
Wolf Mountain Radio, hosts and produces the award
winning "Honoring Mother Earth/Indigenous Voices"
program that is broadcast around the world on Radio
for Peace International http://www.rfpi.org and
Radio4all's webcast network http://www.radio4all.net
